A Night better than a Thousand Months.

Whilst its best to seek Laylatul Qadr in the last ten nights of Ramadan, the majority of scholars throughout the history of Islam have said that it falls on the 27th night. The following hadith are explicit in this regard.

Ubay Ibn Ka’ab (ra) says: “by Allah, I know about Laylatul Qadr and I know it fully well that it is the twenty-seventh night on which the messenger of Allah (PBUH) commanded us to observe prayer.” (muslim)ds Mu’awiyah (ra) narrated the messenger of Allah (PBUH) said regarding the night of al-qadr, “it is the 27th night.” (Abu Dawud)
